Pohlmann & Company donates for “Save the Children – Ukraine
At the end of last year, our employees gave up their Christmas presents in order to donate the amount to a good cause yet to be determined. In view of the shocking humanitarian situation in Ukraine, Pohlmann & Company decided to increase the budget to an amount of EUR 10,000 and to support Save the Children – Ukraine, an action dedicated to the fate of those who suffer most from the war in the middle of Europe.
For over 100 years, Save the Children has been working in around 120 countries to give the world’s disadvantaged children a healthy start in life, to give them access to basic education and to protect them from war and conflict.
The Ukraine conflict threatens the lives of 7.5 million children and has already forced more than one million people, including 400,000 children, to flee their homes. Save the Children has already been active in eastern Ukraine since 2014 to assist children and their families with food, medical aid, blankets and heating material.
With this donation we would like to send a signal that this war affects us all and that everyone can contribute something to alleviate the need and suffering.
