DOJ updates guidance for corporate compliance programs
The Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) has released an updated version of its “The Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs”. An initial version of this guidance had been released by the DOJ in February 2017, at that time often attributed to DoJ’s then Compliance Counsel, Hui Chen.
The guidance provides examples of topics and sample questions that are frequently used by the DOJ in the evaluation of a corporate compliance program.
